 Drivers in Volivoli accident yet to be questioned

The two drivers who were involved in the accident near Volivoli village in Sigatoka yesterday morning are yet to be questioned.

Acting Commissioner of Police, Livai Driu says the 61-year-old driver is still admitted at the Lautoka Hospital while the other driver has been treated and sent home.

Police earlier mentioned that the drivers were taken to the Sigatoka Hospital for medical treatment.

Divisional Police Commander West, SSP Iakobo Vaisewa says the accident occurred around 1am yesterday.

He says the truck travelling from Nadi towards Sigatoka hit the side of the other truck in the opposite lane, causing it to turn on its side.

Investigation continues.
