AG Graham Leung to give evidence to COI today

Attorney General Graham Leung is scheduled to give evidence to the Commission of Inquiry today as part of the ongoing investigation into the appointment of Barbara Malimali as the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption Commissioner.

When asked by fijivillage News about today’s sessions, Senior Legal Counsel Janet Mason says Senior Investigations Manager at FICAC, Kuliniasi Saumi finished his testimony today after being in the witness box since Thursday.

Mason says due to the comprehensive nature of Saumi’s testimony, the upcoming sessions with the next two FICAC officials would be brief.

She says they do not think these two will take long because everything has been answered by Saumi.

Meanwhile, out of the 34 witnesses scheduled, 28 are yet to testify.
