Two RFMF soldiers departed for Australia today to further their studies at the School of Military Engineering at Army Holsworthy Barracks in Sydney.

They are Corporal John Lilo and Lance Corporal Lote Tikovagone who are enrolled in the Subject 4 for Corporal Advance Combat Engineers Course which will run from February 22 – May 21, 2021.

The course provides an excellent opportunity to build on foundation knowledge as combat engineer junior commanders.

Australia’s Defence Advisor to Fiji, Colonel Rob Haertsch says despite the pandemic, Australia and Fiji continue to work closely together to ensure they get more opportunities to study and train alongside each other.
