Timoci Tavatavanawai has shifted from the bench to the starting lineup after a late injury to Jordie Barrett.
Barrett pulled out due to a tight calf, also opening the door for Chay Fihaki who could possibly debut from the bench.
The All Blacks won the first test 50-19 at Eden Park last Saturday to retain the Bledisloe Cup, with Barrett among their leading performers.
Barrett experienced tightness during the match in Auckland and has not recovered sufficiently during the week to be available.
Fihaki was added to the squad ahead of the first test after Fehi Fineanganofo sustained a concussion playing for Bay of Plenty in the NPC. The 25-year-old now gets his opportunity with Leroy Carter also sidelined.
All Blacks: Beauden Barrett, Will Jordan, Quinn Tupaea, Timoci Tavatavanawai, Josh Moorby, Damian McKenzie, Cam Roigard, Wallace Sititi, Peter Lakai, Tupou Vaa'i, Fabian Holland, Scott Barrett, Fletcher Newell, Codie Taylor (capt), George Bower. Reserves: Samisoni Taukei'aho, Xavier Numia, Pasilio Tosi, Shannon Frizell, Du'Plessis Kirifi, Cortez Ratima, Rieko Ioane, Chay Fihaki.
The Wallabies host the All Blacks at 4.45pm today.
