FIJI Water Flying Fijians head coach Jake White says gaining control of the game and improving game management were key priorities in the team's 34–28 victory over Japan in Tokyo.
Speaking during the post match interview, White says while Fiji are known for their attacking flair and ability to score spectacular tries, managing the closing stages of the match was particularly pleasing.
He says he was pleased with the team's performance in the final 10 to 15 minutes, where the team showed an improvement in an area that has been lacking for some time.
The team will now look forward to their northern tour next month, where they will face France on the 8th, Ireland on the 15th and Italy on the 22nd in their final match.
