The Vodafone Fiji Bulikula are just 80 minutes away from potentially securing a place in the semi-finals of the 2026 IRL Women’s Rugby League World Cup as they prepare to face winless France this Saturday.
With one win from two matches, Fiji sit second in their group, 12 points ahead of Papua New Guinea on points difference.
PNG face unbeaten group leaders New Zealand in their final group match, leaving Fiji in a strong position to qualify for the semi-finals.
France have lost both of their opening matches and are out of contention for the semi-finals, but will be determined to secure their first win and end the Bulikula's hopes of progressing.
Meanwhile, Maria Paseka comes in on the wing for Fiji, replacing Sienna Laing, while Cristina Song Puche returns at hooker for France in place of Fanny Ramos.
The Bulikula will take on France at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast this Saturday at 2.20pm.
