The Tailevu Rugby team is looking forward to the Skipper Cup semi-finals this weekend, aiming to go one step further than last year, when they lost 31-26 to Naitasiri in a tightly contested semi-final match.
Captain Eparama Sailoa says preparations have been going well, and their main goals are to reach the Skipper Cup final and win the Farebrother Trophy.
He says some of the key areas they are focusing on are discipline and ball retention.
Sailoa stresses that they will need to keep putting pressure on their opponents and starve them of possession.
He acknowledges the commitment shown by the players during training, as they have been competing for a spot in the final 23-member squad to play this Saturday.
He has also thanked the people of Tailevu Province for supporting them throughout the season and has called on them to come out in numbers to show their support for the team.
Meanwhile, Tailevu will face Nadroga at the HFC Bank Stadium, while Nadi will host Naitasiri at King Charles Park.
Both semi-finals will kick off at 3pm Saturday.
