Families living along Rakua Street in Raiwai say they are struggling to sleep at night because of loud weekend parties that sometimes continue until morning, despite repeated complaints to Police.
Police at the Raiwaqa Police Station have confirmed to fijivillage News that the occupants of the house involved will be issued a final warning, with further action possible if the disturbances continue.
Residents say loud music and gatherings at a house near the roundabout have become a regular problem, particularly on weekends.
They say Police have visited the area several times following complaints, but the music often starts again shortly after officers leave.
Residents say the neighbourhood used to be peaceful, but the repeated disturbances are now affecting families, particularly those with young children who need to sleep.
Some residents are calling for the landlord or property owner to be contacted to help resolve the issue.
The matter has also been raised with the Rakua Neighbourhood Watch team, which is looking at organising a meeting with residents.
Police say if the disturbances continue, they will consider further action, including collecting statements from affected residents.
They say the occupants could face additional action if they fail to cooperate.
