Fiji Chemicals Limited donated four cartons of surface sanitiser and eight cartons of alcohol-based hand sanitiser to the school.
Fiji Chemicals General Manager Trevor Fisher handed the supplies to Batiki District School Manager Laijia Selabuco.
Regional Sales Manager Jacob Whippy says maintaining good hygiene becomes even more important when access to water is limited.
He says the supplies will help students and staff maintain good hygiene practices while the water shortage continues.
The assistance comes as the Batiki Nursing Station has reported an increase in diarrhoea cases on the island, while rainwater supplies continue to run low.
Emergency water assistance has already been delivered to Batiki, with the boarding school and nursing station prioritised, while further deliveries are expected from Levuka.
Health officials have also carried out checks at the boarding school and assessing the safety of its water supply.
The Ministry of Health has urged residents to boil drinking water for at least one minute and maintain good hygiene practices.
Fiji Chemicals had earlier provided similar hygiene supplies to Ratu Naivalu Memorial School in Waya, Yasawa, which has also been affected by water shortages.
