Seaqaqa FC will face the Kiribati National Team in the 86th FMF Inter-District Championship Premier Division final tomorrow after staging an impressive comeback to beat Tavua FC 3-1 in the semi-final.
Seaqaqa were trailing 1-0 at half-time but came back strongly in the second half, scoring three goals to secure their place in the final.
Seaqaqa coach Mohammed Imran says his players showed determination and refused to give up despite being behind at the break.
Imran says the team remained hopeful and came out firing in the second half to score three goals and seal the win.
He thanked the players and supporters for their efforts and encouragement, saying their support gave the team extra motivation.
He says the team will now focus on preparing for tomorrow's final.
Kiribati booked their place in the final after defeating the Fiji Under-17 national team 3-1 in the second semi-final at Buckhurst Park.
The Premier Division final will kick off at 12pm tomorrow at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
Meanwhile, Shah Group of Companies Dreketi FC will face Bua FC in the Senior Division final at 9.30am tomorrow after both teams secured victories in their respective semi-finals.
In other matches, the Super Premier Division semi-final between defending champions Stratum/Lincoln Rewa FC and Vantex Solutions Navua FC is currently underway at HFC Bank Stadium, while Dayals Steel Ba FC will take on Extra Supermarket Labasa FC at 5pm.
The Super Premier Division final is scheduled for 3pm tomorrow at HFC Bank Stadium.
