National Federation Party MP and Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs, Lenora Qereqeretabua says the party believes more time is needed to consider the proposed Constitution Amendment Bill.
When approached by fijivillage News on her stance, Qereqeretabua says the process should not be rushed, arguing that Fiji should not replace a Constitution imposed on the country by imposing another without allowing sufficient time for proper consideration.
When asked on whether he will vote for or against the Bill, NFP MP and Minister for Defence Pio Tikoduadua says the people will know when the vote takes place on the Constitution Amendment Bill.
SODELPA MP, Ifereimi Vasu says he is still discussing the party's position on the proposed Constitution Amendment Bill, despite the party directing its MPs to vote against the Bill.
When approached for his views, Vasu says he is continuing to consider the matter and will discuss it further with the party before a collective decision is made.
