A group of people have come from Nadroumai Village in Nadroga to support Swire Shipping Fijian Drua centre Kalaveti Ravouvou against the Chiefs in their Super Rugby Pacific clash at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

His mother Luisa Ravouvou says Ravouvou paid for the bus that brought them to the stadium.

They left the village at 9am today.

She says Ravouvou is the youngest of three children.

Thousands of people are already inside the stadium while many are still lining up at the gates.

People have climbed trees near the stadium to get a glimpse of the action.

Sharneet Kumar from Lautoka says he hopes the Drua win and he has come to support his favourite player Teti Tela.

Communications Fiji Limited radio personalities such as Viti FM’s Ouch Mama and Drix and Bunene of FM96 Crackfast will be hyping up the crowd at Churchill Park.

This is the first-ever Super Rugby game being held in the West.

Fijian Drua Head of Commercial and Marketing Shane Hussein says the event will not only be for those rugby lovers but a day-out for families.

He says fans will also enjoy performances from The Gang featuring Billy T and Ratu.

They will perform hits songs like Taqanika, Marama, Saiva Ciwa and Yalayala.

Hussein says fans will also be celebrating the achievements of the Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua who won the Super W competition in April.

The Drua will meet the Chiefs at 3pm today at Churchill Park.
