16-year-old Josaia Croker excited to represent Fiji at Youth Olympic Games

16-year-old Josaia Croker of Rotuma says it is an honour and privilege to represent Fiji at the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal as he balances his triathlon training with his schoolwork.

The Marist Brothers High School student says his preparations for the Games are going well, despite the challenges of managing his academic commitments alongside his sporting ambitions.

He says one of the biggest sacrifices he has had to make as a young athlete is spending less time with his friends so he can focus on training and studying.

Croker says his family has been very supportive of his journey and is helping him as he prepares to compete on the international stage.

He says he is excited about the opportunity to represent Fiji and is grateful for the chance to achieve this milestone at just 16 years old.

The 2026 Youth Olympic Games will be held in Dakar, Senegal, from 30th October to 13th November.
