As the sex video which was put up on a Cabinet Minister's facebook page and later removed on Friday goes viral on social media, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has told fijivillage News that he does not have any proof that it was ever on the Minister's facebook page.
Rabuka made the comments in response to an email sent to him by a concerned citizen calling on the Prime Minister to apply the same standard to the male Minister as he did to Minister Lynda Tabuya.
The woman says the issue being raised is that in Minister Tabuya’s case, she lost her cabinet and Deputy Party Leader positions immediately although she did not consent for her video to be circulated but in this case, the content was shared on his facebook story.
In response to this, Rabuka asks fijivillage on who will report this inappropriate behaviour with positive proof.
He says please send your complaint that you viewed the video and was offended by it, also send one to the Online Safety Commissioner, and he will investigate the member of his cabinet you name to have been responsible for the offensive video.
The sex video continues to be circulated in the social media circles.
The Minister concerned has not made any comments since Friday, and has also not said whether his account was hacked or whether the post was accidentally put up.
He has also not confirmed if the Online Safety Commission has been alerted as the video is being circulated.
You are advised not to circulate the sex video.
Meanwhile the Prime Minister also says that he had not approved the minister's visit to New Zealand.
Rabuka also says he had not been given the purpose for the visit.
