Salman Khan's upcoming film Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace may no longer be released this year, with reports suggesting it could be delayed until next year due to pending issues reportedly raised by India's Ministry of Defence.
According to sources, the filmmakers are still working to address concerns over certain parts of the film, including references to China, making it difficult to finalise a release date.
They say that even if the issues are resolved soon, finding a suitable release window this year could prove challenging, as most major release dates have already been booked.
Despite the uncertainty, Dussehra on 10th October remains a possible release window if the outstanding concerns are resolved in time.
The film was originally announced as Battle of Galwan before being renamed Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace.
The film stars Salman Khan and Chitrangada Singh in the lead roles.
An official release date has not yet been announced.
