Tailevu U20 staged a dramatic late comeback to edge FMF Rewa 21-20, with Itu Josaia scoring a crucial try in the dying minutes before Saiyasi Nayacalevu converted to seal the victory.
Rewa had mounted a strong second-half comeback and were leading Tailevu by six points late in the match.
With time running out, Josaia crossed for Tailevu to bring them within one point of Rewa.
Nayacalevu then stepped up and successfully converted the try to put Tailevu ahead and secure the narrow victory.
Tailevu acknowledged Rewa for providing a tough contest and wished them well for their upcoming matches.
Meanwhile, the Tailevu women's side produced a dominant performance against their neighbours, defeating Rewa 102-0.
Despite challenging ground conditions, the Tailevu women successfully executed their game plan and kept Rewa scoreless throughout the match.
In other Marama Championship results, Namosi thrashed Lautoka 91-7, Nadroga defeated Ba 51-42, Taveuni edged Naitasiri 22-19, Nadi beat Nasinu 32-31, while Suva defeated Kadavu 19-10.
In the Skipper Provincial Cup Under-20 competition, Suva beat Kadavu 26-3, Naitasiri defeated Taveuni 13-0, Nadroga beat Ba 20-15, Nadi defeated Navosa 41-5, while Malolo recorded a convincing 52-21 victory over Lautoka.
In the senior competition, Malolo edged Lautoka 29-25, Nadroga beat Ba 56-24, Namosi defeated Rewa 32-15, Naitasiri beat Taveuni 25-18, Suva defeated Kadavu 25-8, while Nadi recorded a 31-12 victory over Navosa.
