Rum Co. of Fiji's Lautoka 16-Year-Old rum has been awarded a silver medal at the Asia Spirits Rating Competition, one of Asia’s most respected competitions recognising excellence in quality, value and presentation.
Rum Co. of Fiji says this accolade positions the Lautoka 16-Year-Old as a premium spirit of international calibre and strengthens Fiji’s presence on the global rum stage.
They say it is matured in small batches for sixteen years, and is celebrated for its depth and refined character.
Rum Co. says it opens with a smoky oak aroma, flows into a smooth, well-rounded palate layered with spice and dried fruit, and finishes with a subtle peppered note.
They say the award adds to Rum Co. of Fiji’s record of over 230 international accolades, highlighting the company’s commitment to quality and the preservation of Fijian rum-making heritage.
Rum Co. says the brand is recognised for blending time-honoured methods with modern techniques, producing rums that are authentic, refined and globally recognised.
Head of Marketing, Alcohol at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Fiji Etrina Simpson says receiving a silver medal on their first entry into this competition is a proud moment for their team.
She says Rum Co. of Fiji’s Lautoka 16-Year-Old embodies sixteen years of patient maturation and meticulous craftsmanship.
Simpson adds this recognition confirms that South Pacific Distillery in Lautoka produces premium rum with a unique identity and global appeal.
Rum Co. of Fiji adds they continue to expand the international presence of its rums, with Lautoka 16-Year-Old leading the way as a symbol of the brand’s dedication to excellence.
They add the award highlights Fiji’s capacity to produce premium spirits deeply rooted in culture, heritage and craftsmanship.
