RB Patel Group Limited records $13.3 million net profit, announces dividend of 3.5 cents per share
RB Patel Group Limited has recorded a net profit after tax of $13.3 million for the financial year ended 30th June 2026 and has declared a final dividend of 3.5 cents per share, amounting to $5.25 million.

The company says the final dividend will be paid by 16th October and will bring its total dividends for the financial year to 5.5 cents per share, amounting to $8.25 million.

They say revenue including other income increased by 2.9 percent to $196 million, compared to $191 million in the previous financial year.

Profit from operating activities increased by 0.6 percent to $18 million, from $17.9 million last year.

Company Chairman Jitoko Tikolevu says the results are satisfactory considering uncertainties in global and domestic markets, the migration of Fijians, strong competition within the industry and slow economic growth.

Tikolevu says the supermarket industry continues to face intense competition as new stores and players enter the market each year, while the cost of doing business in Fiji continues to rise.

He says the company's operating costs increased by 7 percent over the past year without any real increase in productivity, while salary and wage costs have risen by 19 percent over the past two years.

Tikolevu also acknowledged the positive impact of tourism growth on Fiji's economic recovery.

However, he also cautioned of the many natural disasters, related to climate change, around the world as well as the continuing impact of wars in Ukraine and Iran that have and continue to cause disruptions to economic activities and has left most economies, including Fiji, still struggling to control inflation.
