Business Link Pacific and business support launch its website grant programme

The business Link Pacific grant support program is more focused on assisting micro small and medium-sized enterprises who are involved in or are planning to do something innovative.

This has been highlighted by General Manager for Business Assistance Fiji and Business Link Pacific Ramesh Chand during the launch of the Business Link Pacific grant programme at the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation office.

Chand says it is also going to assist MSMEs that are inclusive, which involves women entrepreneurs, youth entrepreneurs and people with disabilities and of course indigenous entrepreneurs.

Assistant Minister for Finance Esrom Immanuel says the business support grant launch is designed to assist micro small medium enterprises, to grow, innovate, invest and adapt to changing circumstances.

Immanuel says the MSME sector plays a crucial role, now contributing to over 18% of our GDP.

The Deputy High Commissioner of New Zealand Alex Davis says New Zealand is proud to have been supporting a wide range of kind of innovative professionals as well as supporting MSMEs across the Pacific.

Davis says this launch is a really good example of their strategic partnership and their collaboration to build economic resilience, directly benefiting grassroots communities right across the country.

He adds New Zealand's implementation to support the age's economic growth and resilience by supporting initiatives that build depth in Fiji and its economy and include increased access to finance for micro small and medium-sized enterprises.
