26 traders have been warned for prosecution, while 57 investigations are still pending inspections by the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission enforcement teams last month.

FCCC says last month, the team carried out 1,471 inspections around Fiji to ensure that traders are complying with the FCCC Act and treating consumers fairly.

146 inspections were done in the Central Division, 627 in the Western Division and 698 in the North.

The FCCC team also covered the maritime areas, where 118 inspections were done, showing a 100 percent compliance rate.

The Commission urges traders that they must comply with the FCCC Act 2010 to ensure they are engaging in ethical trade practices and treating all consumers with fairness.
