Jordan Henderson scored just 68 seconds into his home debut and went on to score another goal as Chelsea thrashed Bournemouth 5-1 in the Premier League.

Henderson opened the scoring before Morgan Rogers doubled Chelsea’s lead a minute later to make it 2-nil at half-time.

Joao Pedro made it 3-nil in the second half, scoring in the 46th minute.

Bournemouth pulled one back through Evanilson in the 51st minute, but Pedro scored his second goal in the 67th minute to extend Chelsea’s lead to 4-1.

Henderson then completed his brace in the 70th minute to seal Chelsea’s 5-1 victory.

The victory ends Chelsea’s run of three matches without a win and moves them into the Premier League’s top five.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth remain without a win in the Premier League and sit just outside the relegation zone on goal difference.

In other Premier League matches, Arsenal defeated Leeds United 2-1, while Aston Villa and Brentford played out a 2-all draw.

Ipswich Town beat Fulham 2-1, Brighton defeated Sunderland 2-nil, and Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur shared the points after a 1-all draw.

In tomorrow’s matches, Crystal Palace will face Nottingham Forest and Hull City will take on Everton at 1am, while Liverpool will meet Manchester City at 3.30am Fiji time.
