Bituniyata calls on Fijians to keep Flying Fijians in their prayers ahead of France clash
FIJI Water Flying Fijians player Setareki Bituniyata is calling on Fijians to continue supporting the team and is urging the nation to remember the team in their prayers.

Speaking from France in the iTaukei language, the 31-year-old says preparations have been going well, with three days of training last week and a full week of hard work this week.

He says the prayers from families and the Fijian people will help them through their Nations Championship campaign this month.

Meanwhile, following the Flying Fijians' win against Japan last month, coach Jake White praised the players for their improved discipline.

He says Fiji reduced their penalty count to just three, 13 fewer than in their previous meeting.

White says the challenge for the Flying Fijians will now be to maintain these standards against France, Ireland and Italy, where discipline and the ability to manage pressure will be equally important.

The Flying Fijians play France at 8.10am on Sunday at Groupama Stadium in Lyon.

They then play Ireland next Sunday, before meeting Italy the following week.
