It is too early to comment on rumours that Marama Na Roko Tui Dreketi Ro Teimumu Kepa and Sashi Kiran could be joining the People's Alliance Party.
Deputy Prime Minister and People's Alliance Deputy Leader Manoa Kamikamica says the party cannot make any announcements about potential candidates until Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka makes the official announcement.
Kamikamica was responding to a question from fijivillage News about rumours surrounding Ro Teimumu and Kiran, and whether they could be joining the party ahead of the next general elections.
He says the People's Alliance is currently looking for exceptional citizens who are willing to serve and work for the country.
Kamikamica acknowledges that the names mentioned are people who would attract public attention, but says it would be premature for him to comment on any possible arrangements.
He says the Prime Minister should make the announcements when he considers it appropriate.
He says the party is focused on identifying people who are prepared to serve the country and take on the responsibility of leadership.
Kamikamica did not confirm or deny whether Ro Teimumu Kepa and Kiran are considering joining the People's Alliance Party.
