The Social Democratic and Liberal Party said it will soon hold discussions on whether it will be part of the 2014 elections.
When questioned by Fijivillage on why they did not attend the constitution briefing and whether they will participate in the elections under the 2013 constitution, SODELPA’s Doctor Tupeni Baba said this will be discussed when they analyze the constitution made public by the government yesterday.
Doctor Baba said SODELPA rejected the document as they want a Constituent Assembly to be appointed to look at the document or a national referendum to be held.
He said SODELPA also wants a caretaker government to be appointed to oversee the process.
