Health Ministry aim to make CWM a specialized hospital

All six health centers in Suva including Lami and Samabula will be open for extended hours to carter for CWM Hospital general outpatients early in the new year.
This is according to Health Minister Dr Neil Sharma who said they will be open from 6am to 10pm from the end of January.
Meanwhile, as part of Improving Health services and better financial returns for the health ministry, Paying Ward patients at Public hospitals around the country will have to pay more for services in the new year.
This will include non-essential services such as dental services, radiology and ultrasound lab services amongst others.
However, this will not affect non paying patients.
The New rates will be implemented from the 1st of January 2011.
