The military's Land Force Commander, Brigadier Pita Driti said the Fiji government is testing the New Zealand government on whether it is genuine in having dialogue and assisting Fiji.
Brigadier Driti said the nomination of Lt Colonel Neumi Leweni is the test on whether New Zealand will accept Leweni to be the counsellor at the Fiji High Commission in Wellington.
The New Zealand government has not made any statements on the nomination as yet.
