Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama after accepting the traditional apology from the people of the Tikina Narocake, Gau told them that it is now time for a change.

Commodore Bainimarama told the villagers they have waited long enough for change to occur, and this is one of the major priorities for the Government, to bring about "Change" to those that really need it.

Commodore Bainimarama told the villagers that life came to a standstill for most of them, as no one brought about the changes they needed.

He also told the Tikina Narocake that only two villages in Gau, namely Sawaieke and Vione accepted the People=s Charter, and it was hard to change the mind set of the elders in the Tikina that have lived through past Governments and do not accept change as they listened to the Church and the Chiefs.

Commodore Bainimarama stressed to the villagers that the Government is willing to work together with the leaders of the Church and the Chiefs, to work out ways to bring about prosperity.
