Royal House Joins Earth Hour
In three days time the Royal House of Denmark along with the Royal Prince of Wales will join the over 140 thousand that have signed up for the Earth Hour event which Fiji is a part of.

A WWF initiative, Earth Hour Organizer for Fiji Kim Beddoes said this Saturday, Fiji will join Prince Charles and his subjects and the Royal House of Denmark in switching off their lights for an hour, to raise awareness on climate change. The Event, which will also see the Capital City along with Lautoka City and Lami Town switching off all unnecessary lights such as supermarket signs for an hour, will start at 8 in the evening until 9.

According to Beddoes Police have showed their support along with the City Council and the Suva Retailers Association to make the event a safe one.

Some famous names that have also signed up to be part of the event are Sydney Olympic Gold medalists, Cathy Freeman and Ian Thorpe and Virgin Blue owner, Sir Richard Branson.
