Lautoka lawyer Haroon Ali Shah said things are not coming to a grinding halt as far as law firms are concerned.
Shah said his law firm is still busy with a number of cases although the High Courts remain closed.
Shah has also refused claims made by some local lawyers to the overseas media that workers' hours have been reduced and staff from law firms have been sent home.
However, a constitutional lawyer based in Suva has revealed that things are now changing for him after working for more than 13 years as a lawyer.
Sevuloni Valenitabua said there are no cases in court so there is no money coming from cases.
Valenitabua said he has also reduced working hours for his staff and they are only working two days in a week now.
He is now working on family court and tribunal cases.
