The President of the Methodist Church of Fiji, Reverend Laisiasa Ratabacaca was impressed with the second meeting between the Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, and the ousted Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase which took place yesterday afternoon.
Rev Ratabacaca said the exchange of views between the two leaders with the presence of the head of the Catholic Church would pave the way to better dialogue in the future.
Reverend Ratabacaca added with the afternoon lemon-leaf-tea served to them during the meeting was a relief.
Meanwhile, the meeting, which involved a candid exchange of views, focused on a number of issues including the People's Charter, the proposed forum to be facilitated by the United Nations and the Commonwealth Secretariat within a multilateral framework.
They urge Fiji's traditional, community, civic and religious leaders to play an active and a lead role in the reconciliation efforts at the level of local communities and at the national level.
