Labasa taxi association backs Ram

“Rishi Ram should not have stepped down just because of his personal comments”.

These were the words shared by Labasa Taxi Association President Birja Nand Sharma while speaking to Fijivillage this morning.

Sharma said the decision taken by Ram in stepping down is wrong and the Fiji Taxi Association has also done wrong in making him step down without following proper procedures.

He added a proper meeting with all members should have been called before this decision was taken.

Ba Taxi Association President Jamsheed Ali shares similar views saying Ram should not have stepped down just because he made comments on how females should dress.

Ali said this is not justice.

Meanwhile Fijivillage has contacted Fiji Taxi Association President Vincent Singh who said he will not make any comment at this stage and will do so after a few days.
