Health officials are now inspecting all supermarkets to see that non fluoride toothpastes are removed from shelves.
This is after the Toothpaste Standard has come into effect on the 1st of January this year.
Spokesperson Peni Namotu said toothpaste should be clearly labeled, packets should also have labels in vernacular language and expiry dates clearly marked.
Namotu said supermarkets that do not comply with the Toothpaste Standard will be dealt with.
