With a confirmed fatality of dengue in the west and with 18 more cases reported by the Commissioner Wester, the Minister for Health Dr Neil Sharma stressed the importance of utilizing all the services available to them in safeguarding their health.
Doctor Sharma said the facilities are readily available to people who are feeling sick when asked by Fijivillage on the reported cases of dengue and other water-borne diseases in the flood affected areas.
He said the Ministry is doing all they can to contain illnesses.
However he said the actual number of cases is privilege information.
He said they are spraying homes, looking at the quality of food at supermarkets and distributing WHO chlorine tablets to stop the spread of water-borne diseases.
