“The best Christmas gift for me is to see my son fully recovered from cancer.”
Those were the words of Naina Ratukana the mother of 8 year old Samuela Jegesa who has fully recovered from cancer after spending more than four months in the hospital.
Ratukana was emotional today to share how happy she is as her son is on his way to full recovery.
She also remembers some of Jegesa’s friends who have passed away this year.
Jegesa and other children who are living with cancer were hosted by the LDS Church today.
Ratukana said even the service has brought smiles to the children’s faces.
LDS Church Elder and Service Center Manager Samuela Wakolo says the church office staff climbed Mount Korobaba with other sponsors on November 9th to fund-raise for the Christmas Carol and gift event.
