The Fiji Rugby Union will seek the International Rugby Board's assistance in allowing Digicel Fiji 7s team manager, Sale Sorovaki and Nikola Matawalu to travel to New Zealand for the next leg of the IRB 7s series.
Sorovaki, is Prime Minister Commodore Bainimarama's son-in-law while Matawalu is a Navy officer which rules both of them out due to New Zealand's current travel sanctions.
FRU Board Chairman, Bill Gavoka stressed that they want to take the best to the 2nd leg of the IRB 7s Series.
Fiji currently lies in 4th place with 32 points after the first leg of the IRB 7s series.
The New Zealand 7s is in the first week of February next year where Fiji is the defending champion.
