We should all respect the process set out by President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau to amend draft Constitution prepared by the Chairman of the Constitution Commission, Professor Yash Ghai.
Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said that as the President has endorsed the new process, political organisation, NGOs and individuals should be concerned whether the constitution is truly democratic and has democratic principles.
Political parties, trade unions and individuals have raised their concerns after the government announced that the draft constitution will be amended.
