Fiji is expected to get electronic voting machines from India by next year.
The Indian High Commissioner to Fiji, Vinod Kumar said that as discussed previously, the first set of machines will be given as a gift to Fiji from the Indian government.
He said if the Fijian government intends to try out the machines in the actual elections in 2014 then further discussions will take place.
He said the machines are manufactured by a company in India and is expected to take some time in reaching Fiji however he is hopeful that the machines will arrive here next year.
