Fiji to join Atomic agency
Fiji will now join the International Atomic Energy Agency after cabinet’s approval on a submission by the Minister for Health Dr Neil Sharma.

The agency is an independent international organization related to the United Nations by special agreement and works for the safe, secure and peaceful uses of nuclear science and technology.

Its key roles contribute to international peace and security, and to the world’s Millennium Goals for Social, Economic and Environmental Development.

The Agency has 151 member states and is based in Vienna, Austria.
