Govt decides to end Daylight Savings early

The government has decided to end Daylight Savings a month earlier than scheduled.

Cabinet has agreed that Daylight Saving in Fiji will end on Sunday 28th March at 3am.

The decision was based on the submission given by Education Minister Filipe Bole.

Meanwhile, on school time Bole said this was never changed because of daylight saving and school will still start at 9am.

He said that it is necessary to end daylight savings a month earlier as it is quite dark in the morning.

It will once again commence from 24th October this year till March next year.
