630 students were victims of sexual offences in Fiji last year.
The National Substance Abuse Advisory Council said of the offences committed against students, Rape was the highest with a total of 215 cases reported, followed by Indecently Annoying a person with 175 cases, while Indecent Assault was the third highest with 93 cases reported.
The highest number of sexual offences recorded for the country was in the Southern Division reporting a total of 249 cases, with the Western Division reporting 155 cases whilst the Eastern Division reporting 100.
Meanwhile, the majority of the victims range from 15 to 16 years old with the youngest being 4-years-old.
