The lawyer for Estonian national, Risto Harmat said his client has admitted taking Ratu Tevita Mara on a fishing trip to Kadavu, where he dropped him off.
Semi Leweniqila said however, their client claims he had no knowledge of what happened later to Mara.
Leweniqila has told Radio Australia that his client was held in police custody for a week before being charged with obstructing to defeat the course of justice.
He also confirms that Harmat is not denying that he took Mara to a resort in Kadavu.
