Despite their 36-32 loss to the Crusaders on Friday night, the Chiefs have booked a home qualifying final on June 6th.
With their opponents yet to be determined, the Chiefs will host the fifth or sixth-placed team at FMG Stadium in Hamilton.
Meanwhile, the Hurricanes, who will finish on top of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific table, will host the fifth or sixth-placed team at Wellington on Friday, June 5th.
The Hurricanes were dominant against the Highlanders last night, winning 45-28.
Kini Naholo scored a double, while Ruben Love, Brayden Iose, Du'Plessis Kirifi, Josh Moorby and Ere Enari scored a try each.
After round 15 of the competition, the Hurricanes lead with 55 points, the Chiefs are second with 46 points, while the Blues are in third place with 38 points.
The defending champions, the Crusaders, are in fourth place with 36 points, the Brumbies are fifth with 33 points, and the Reds are sixth with 32 points.
The Fijian Drua are in tenth place following their 19-15 loss to the Force, while Moana Pasifika remain at the bottom with five points.
Next week, the Crusaders will host the Hurricanes at 7.05pm Friday, the Fijian Drua will take on the Reds at 9.35pm, the Brumbies will face Moana Pasifika at 4.35pm Saturday, the Chiefs will meet the Blues at 7.05pm, and the Force will play the Waratahs at 9.35pm.
