Vereniki Koroi of Ratu Sukuna Memorial School has won the 100m and 200m senior boys events in the Suva Zone 1 competition this afternoon.
He will also be participating in the 4x100m this afternoon.
Meanwhile, Namosi Secondary School have stamped their mark in the Suva Zone 1 winning the long distance race events in the boys and girls divisions.
William Esava of Namosi Secondary won the intermediate boys 1500m while Salome Vatawabai took out the intermediate girls 1500m.
Siteri Makereta won the sub junior girls 800m, Koleta Tubailagi took out the senior girls 800m while Pita Benedito won gold in the intermediate boys 800m.
Meanwhile, Namosi Secondary School is still leading the boys and girls divisions in the Suva Zone 1.
In the boys division they are leading with 3 gold and 2 silver while in the girls division they have collected 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.
John Wesley College and Nasinu Secondary School are tied in second place in the boys division with 1 gold and 1 silver.
Ballantine Memorial School is in second place in the girls division with 2 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze while John Wesley College is third with 1 silver.
The Suva Zone 1 is currently underway at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.
