Tonawai likely to captain Fiji A

Tonawai likely to captain Fiji A
National 15's rep and Army veteran, Dale Tonawai is highly likely to be named the captain of the Fiji A side to meet Tonga in the first of their two Test matches on Friday.

Tonawai looked to be one of the most senior players that have been selected in the 29-man squad that is preparing for the match, and he teams up with former and current national reps, Sireli Ledua, Mosese Volavola, Leone Nakarawa, Waqabaca Kotobalavu and Dan Rawaqa.

Coaches Sale Sorovaki and Inoke Male say it will be a difficult decision for them to make, and will name their captain later in the week.

Meanwhile, the Fiji A side will have their first run tomorrow after the official team announcement was made in the weekend, and the hosts are expecting a very strong challenge from the Tongans.

The Fiji A/Tonga first test match will be held at the TFL stadium next week Friday while the second test match will be held at Churchill Park in Lautoka on April 23.
