Tanivula names strong lineup
Digicel Fiji Sevens coach Iliesa Tanivula has named a strong lineup for their opening match against Wallis and Futuna this morning at the Pacific Mini Games.

Tanivula said since the conclusion of the IRB World Sevens Series in June, his players have not played competitive rugby and he needs them to get the combination right from the opening game.

Tanivula will go with Seremaia Burotu, Waqabaca Kotobalavu and Pio Tuwai in the forwards while Emosi Vucago, Jiuta Lutumailagi, Nasoni Roko and Osea Kolinisau will start in the backs.

Tanivula is not worried about other teams at this stage and just wants his players to perform well and retain the gold medal.

Fiji plays Wallis and Futuna today at 9:38am, then take on Tahiti at 11:40am.

Fiji faces the Cook Islands at 4:12pm and their last pool match will be against Niue at 5:40pm

Meanwhile, Team Fiji leads the medal tally standings with 33 gold, 17 silver and 19 bronze.

Tahiti is in second place with 20 gold, 19 silver and 14 bronze.
