Naitasiri Player Handed 3 Week Suspension

The Fiji Rugby Union Games Committee has handed a 3 week suspension to Naitasiri player Jimilai Nakaidawa, after he was red carded in last week's Digicel Fiji Cup game against Ovalau.

Games Committee Chairman, Rafaele Kasibulu said they have looked at the Match Commissioner report and have found out that Nakaidawa was involved in punching an Ovalau player who had to be rushed to the hospital after the game.

Kasibulu added that Naitasiri officials have been warned on their players' behaviour during the game, and they could lose out on holding the Digicel Cup games in Naluwai, if they continue with their unsportsmanship behaviour.

This week Naitasiri will take on Rewa while in other games Tailevu host Navosa, Suva plays Ovalau, Northland faces Nadi, Namosi take on Lautoka while a live commentary of the Tailevu and Navosa game can be heard on Viti FM at 3pm on Saturday.
