British High Commissioner, Roderick Drummond said there has been a well-coordinated and strong response after Tropical Cyclone Winston.
Drummond said there was extraordinary effort by the government which was supported by NGOs and the international community.
He said Britain provided about three and half million pounds through different agencies for relief work after Tropical Cyclone Winston, which was one of the worst cyclones to make land-fall in the Southern hemisphere.
Meanwhile, Fijian soldiers in the British Army held various fundraising efforts in the United Kingdom, Germany and Cyprus in response to Tropical Cyclone Winston.
Drummond presented a cheque of $43,300 to the Fiji Red Cross.
