President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere says after 21 months of border closures, the eyes of the world are on the tourism industry like never before.

While speaking at the Tourism Fiji Expo, he says the world is watching and after two years of pent-up demand, holiday seekers everywhere want to know how to get to Fiji and what our islands can offer.

Ratu Wiliame also emphasized that this is the most important Fijian Tourism Expo ever as the worst of the pandemic is behind us.

He says all information at the Fijian Tourism Expo is shared electronically through the Fijian Tourism Expo app and all appointment schedules and the Fijian Tourism Expo directory are now online.

Ratu Wiliame says this is a part of Tourism Fiji’s overall goal to adopt more sustainable practices in the way it conducts business.

He adds the tens of thousands of Fijians who rely on this sector are counting on them to keep the tourism recovery going strong.
