Two children died as a result of suspected diarrhea cases in the Central Division yesterday.
According to assistant police spokesperson Jone Kalouniviti, a six-year-old boy of Savura, Wailoku, suffered from diarrhea yesterday and was conveyed to the CWM Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
In a separate incident, a one-year-old baby of Yanuca Island who was also suffering from diarrhea died at the Navua Hospital.
Parents have been cautioned to look after their children’s health and not to be complacent.
The Health Ministry is expected to comment later today on the matter.
