About me: Alex or Al as he is known to his friends was brought up in Lautoka but finished his high school education at Marist Brothers High School in Suva. He began his radio career in 2001 on FM96 as the Tonite Show host, moving across to join Annie as hosts of the Legend FM Breakfast Show in 2005. He is also a magazine columnist.
Not being able to sing, dance or play any musical instrument more complicated than the triangle means that Alex really appreciates what musicians can do. He likes a wide variety of music from Reggae to Rock and some Hip Hop. His favorites would have to be Bob Marley & the Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, War, Simon & Garfunkel and Guns ‘N’ Roses.
Al’s big passion though is books. He will literally read anything he can get his hands on. On occasion, he THINKS about doing exercise but much rather enjoys having a good old talanoa session around a tanoa of grog. |
